Besides teaching college students, and designing material, I tutor High School students, and coach professionals from all fields to become more competitive in a fast-paced business environment.

As an instructional designer, I have designed units and modules for "Deutsch im Blick", a free Open Educational Resource (OER) available online. The idea behind this project is to teach language through authentic material, using multimedia and interactive tools that enhance the learning experience. I applied learning theories and used design software to create online and print content, and lead video projects, and edited sequences and interviews that are crucial to this course.

This OER accompanies "Deutsch im Blick" to explain grammatical concepts. It connects with the user through story-telling from the Grimm Fairy Tales. I optimized and edited the content and audio-recorded chapter units.

This free (OER) class offers professional development for language instructors. As a Master's student, I was actively involved in the creation of this course.

I have done voice-over work for educational material and language learning tools as well as for private companies. Most recently I have been working with DMX/Mood. I have also trained multiple voice students, who majored in Opera. German and the clear pronunciation of vowels and sounds is not only important but sometimes key to success in vocal training and professional careers.

I developed and designed material, lesson plans, projects etc for personal or classroom use. A selection can be purchased on Teachers pay Teachers.

My MA report "Humor and Parodies in the Foreign Language Classroom" (2010) examines the use of humor in the foreign language learning. It can be found here: https://repositories.lib.utexas.edu/bitstream/handle/2152/ETD-UT-2010-05-1015/ZWIETASCH-MASTERS-REPORT.pdf My dissertation investigates the connections between students' interest, intended effort, the learning experience, and teacher self-disclosure. Have a look!
